Journey East

"Journey East" with the CMSM in a concert showcasing premieres of works by Piyawat Louilapprasert (violin and electronics), Ariana Kim (for violin and Gayageum) and Steve Heitzeg whose large ensemble work will commemorate victims of Hiroshima. The concert will also feature chamber works by Earl Kim and Zhou Long.

Concert Program:

• Steve Heitzeg - Wind of No Return for flute, clarinet, origami peace cranes, stones from Hiroshima, and strings

• Ariana Kim - Apba Hagoo, Nah Hagoo for gayegeum and violin

• Earl Kim - Three French Songs for soprano and string quartet

• Zhou Long - Chinese Folk Songs for string quartet

• Piyawat Louilapprasert - Have Yourself #42 for flute, clarinet, violin, bass, percussion, and video installation.
